Hans Dieter Huber is an artist, experimental filmmaker and scientist. He studied painting and graphic art as well as art history, philosophy and psychology. 1997-99 he was a professor at the HGB Leipzig; from 1999-2019 he was a professor for the history of art, aesthetics and art theory at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. In 2007 he was a senior fellow at the International Center for Cultural Studies in Vienna. From 2009 to 2015 he was a member of the board of directors of the Society for Interdisciplinary Image Science. In 2006-09 he was an associate professor at the Graduate College, Bild, Körper, Medium, HfG Karlsruhe. Since 2013, he is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Institute for Subjective Experience and Research (ISER) at MSH Medical School Hamburg. From December 2016 to June 2021 he was Deputy Chairman at the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart and from 2017 to 2020 he was member of the Board of Trustees at the Adolf-Hölzel-Stiftung, Stuttgart.
